Yesturday, we conquered the weekend crowds at the San Diego Zoo. We met my cousin Jessica, her husband Mike and there cutie pie daughter Maddy at the zoo. The morning was great, it was overcast and cool! I love mornings like that. Although, the morning was a perfect temperature, we managed to hit a little drama.
Once we got into the park, we like everyone else, gathered around the Flamingos, to coordinate a plan of attack - what the best way to view the entire zoo? We decided on beginning with the bus tour, after purchasing our tickets and parking the strollers, I realized the my oldest daughter, Jacquelyn isn’t with us! I frantically look around seeing where she was and nothing. She gone! My heart was pounding, I/we have never “lost” her before! Sam quickly backtracks to where we were and found her at the flamingos calmly looking around and saying “mamas gone”. Thank goodness she was alright!
The rest of the day was smooth sailing, well as best as could be with a 2 1/2 year old, 1 1/2 year old and 2 month old.
Every time I go to a place, I leave there thinking , “what would I do different”. What I would do different next time is to try and take the bus tour right at 9am when they open followed by a long walk down to the Panda Bear exhibit. Once we were in the Panda bear exhibit, the line way way too long and moving very slowly, but I would like to view them next time we are there.
If you are thinking about going to the San Diego Zoo, on October 2nd which is the parks 92nd anniversary there is FREE admission for everyone.
